Last October 8, 2017, SGI Philippines commemorated the 60th anniversary of President Toda's Declaration for the Abolition of Nuclear Weapons with the exhibition "Everything You Treasure for a World Free from Nuclear Weapons" and a Peace Forum spearheaded by the Student Division at the Manila International Peace Center. The exhibit is open until October 30, 2017.

In the peace forum, the significance of President Toda’s Calling for Nuclear Abolition was discussed in conjunction with SGI President Ikeda’s peace proposals. A video showing about a testimony of one hibakusha from Hiroshima was also shown. Lastly, an experience and report by a Japanese women’s division from Hiroshima who used to work for an international organization promoting public awareness on the need to abolish nuclear weapons was shared during the forum.  The entire event was attended by 215 members and guests.
