“As courageous, compassionate and dedicated disciples of Nichiren Daishonin, who are fully committed to truth and justice, please live out your whole lives in a positive and uplifting way, striving for the prosperity of your countries, the happiness of the people, and the precious existence of humankind itself.”
Mr. Nobuo Fukase, the SGI Study Department Vice Leader quoted Ikeda Sensei’s inaugural message on the SGI’s founding day on January 26, 1975, which provided the spiritual training ground where we will engrave the spirit of the Daishonin deeply in our hearts at the start of the study conference.
The participants joyfully anticipated the lectures, especially when Mr. Fukase expressed his happiness in studying Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhism together with all of us, who were born in this crucial time, and sharing the deep karmic connection transcending the three existences of past, present, and future.

The 2-day study conference on April 12-13, 2025, was held in Cagayan de Oro Culture Center and was attended in person by 382 participants in the general membership study lecture and the 128 youth members in the youth conference.
We were joined by participants who came to three different centers in other parts of the country, altogether watching the lecture online. The general membership participants in the 3 centers totaled 168, while the total of the youth gathered was 102.

The lecture was easy to understand, and Mr. Fukase used interesting examples and inspiring experiences that further encouraged all of us. Mr. Fukase’s cheerful demeanor bridged the gap between him and the members.
His lecture brought, especially in the younger generation, a renewed determination and strong conviction towards our goal of 10,000 shakubuku toward the Soka Gakkai’s centennial in 2030.
Our hearts are filled with gratitude for this opportunity to reaffirm our pride as the courageous disciples of the world’s foremost mentor as we continue to fulfill our mission as Bodhisattvas of the Earth toward the third death anniversary of Ikeda Sensei on November 15 and toward the 95th anniversary of the Soka Gakkai’s founding on November 18, 2025.
